At these budget rates, this is a practical base for solo travelers or couples keeping an eye on costs. The savings compared with nearby riverfront chain hotels can go toward tours, meals, and things to do around Downtown and Zamalek. It suits people who'll spend most of their time out and mainly want a clean, central place to sleep. The hotel is within walking distance of the Ramses Hilton and Egyptian Museum, and near the Nile Corniche and central Downtown sights. Tahrir Square and Zamalek's cafés and restaurants are easy to reach on foot or by a short, inexpensive taxi ride. Economy rooms are small and mainly for sleeping. Some interior rooms have no window, which may feel closed in on a longer stay. They come with basic air conditioning, a private bathroom, and Wi-Fi, but don't expect premium finishes or views. In-room comfort and facilities are limited, so it's less suitable if you want natural light, a larger room, or resort-style amenities and are willing to pay more for a full-service riverside hotel.

We were happy with our stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms were nice, and there was plenty of really good breakfast. The location itself is very noisy, but that's Cairo, a big, busy city beside the traffic. :)

I highly recommend it. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location works well for tourists or staycations. My favorite thing was the five-minute morning walk from the hostel to cilantro tahrir, enjoying Cairo's calm and beauty early in the day.

The photos on booking don't match the actual room. The bedsheet was pilled and rubbed against my skin while I slept. Basic services were slow and often needed several reminders. They'd say something would take 10 minutes, then ages would pass with nothing done. Sometimes the room wasn't cleaned at all, and I'd return at night to find it untouched. The service is sluggish.
