Golden Carven Hotel

I was worried after reading a lot of negative comments before booking, but none of them turned out to be true for me. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely polite and professional. For its price, the hotel was much better than I expected, cleaner and more organized than many places charging double. The service felt like a real 5-star experience. It was super clean, very affordable, and worth every pound. Honestly, everything was great. Highly recommended.

The room was barely acceptable, and everything else was a disaster. Reception was horrible, the staff were rude, unprofessional, and completely unhelpful. They showed no interest in helping guests and acted arrogant and indifferent. Worst of all, I was charged THREE TIMES the price shown on Booking.com. No clear explanation, just excuses. It feels dishonest and misleading, and the whole experience was unacceptable. I’d be careful about this place. I’d never stay here again and don’t recommend it.

The rooftop has a really nice view, though there’s very little seating. The hotel is generally good value, and most areas are non-smoking. It’s on a side street parallel to the main road, so noise is limited.

I’d already paid for breakfast, but they said it wasn’t included and tried to charge me extra. I wouldn’t recommend this place to tourists, especially.
