We stayed at six hotels in different Egyptian cities on this trip, and this one was the best for its price. The room and the rest of the hotel were clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was good Wi-Fi, a TV, a large closet with hangers and shelves, a nightstand, and two bedside lights. Our bathroom was ensuite and had hot water, which not every hotel had. The hotel is on the seventh floor and looks fresh, like it’s been renovated recently. Its downtown location worked really well for us, with cafes and restaurants nearby, Cairo’s fashionable streets with European-style architecture, and two metro stations. The staff were lovely and always willing to help. Our flight from Aswan was delayed, so we got in around 2:00 AM. They welcomed us at reception, and someone from the kitchen brought drinks while we waited in the lobby for check-in. They also let our friend rest in the lobby while he waited for his bus, which wasn’t until 1:00 AM. When we needed online tickets for the new Grand Egyptian Museum but couldn’t pay by card, reception helped us buy them. My friend and I are from Tatarstan and love tea, so we asked for it every day, sometimes at midnight or later. There was always someone awake at reception who kindly made us some. Thanks so much to the staff for making us feel welcome!

Breakfast was very bare bones: a boiled egg, cheese slice, jam, and fries. One staff member had to handle both serving it and cleaning up. I wouldn’t add breakfast to a stay here, as there are better choices close by. I booked a room with a private bathroom advertised as having a city view, but there were no windows or balcony at all, so there was no view. I noticed as soon as I arrived, though I didn’t bring it up because I was only staying one night. The room was old and basic, missing some listed amenities, but it was clean and had a fridge and air conditioner. The location is excellent, and the online reviews seemed positive. Still, the experience didn’t live up to the listing. I’d look at other nearby hotels for better comfort and value.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the food was good. The room was okay, though it needs work: the carpet mat was dusty and very dirty, the window handles were broken, and the TV didn’t work. It’s a little hard to find because the map pin is wrong. The hotel is inside another business building, its sign is small, and it’s across from mc Donald's.

The room felt bare and sterile, and its window looked out over a trash strewn area. At night the street outside had beggars and people slipping in and out of the shadows who seemed a bit dodgy. Even finding the place was a hassle. There’s a sign on the street, but it takes a while to locate the elevator and work out which floor reception is on. The carpet had a few stains that looked like no cleaner could get them out. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re really down on your luck.

I stayed for six nights and felt very well looked after. Ahmed deserves a special mention: whenever I needed something, he was ready to help and always friendly. The whole team was welcoming, attentive, and professional, which made the stay comfortable. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for warm hospitality and great service.
