Ahmed Farag was an incredible and really interesting guide, and I’d say a tour with him is well worth it. The breakfast was also very nice, as was the balcony in our room. The place is central, which made getting around easy, though finding it in 40-degree heat was difficult. We were approached about booking tours and spending money as soon as we arrived after a long day of travel, before we were ready. Staff were friendly, but a hanger, the shower, and several utilities kept falling apart. Still, it’s good value and a decent place with good people.

A comfortable, pleasant place in Cairo’s historic center, about a ten-minute walk from the Egyptian museum. There’s a good excursions agency across from the museum. If you want dinner, including soup, it’s best to find somewhere ahead of time, since there’s nowhere near the Egyptyan museum.
