Settle Inn South 90 Apartments

The towels were wet, the bathroom floor was also wet and hadn't been cleaned properly, and the bedsheets smelled really unpleasant. I thought the price was acceptable at first, but checkout changed that. The room's price list for items wasn't accurate, and although I only took a few things, I was charged almost twice their listed prices. They also charged me for instant coffee, which hotels usually provide for free, and for a tea packet I hadn't even used. This was a very bad experience and felt like a total scam. I'll never stay here again, and I really don't recommend it.

The staff were rude and unprofessional throughout our stay, and the room telephone didn't work, so it was hard to reach reception or ask for help. On arrival, I was also asked for an extra 500 Egyptian pounds as a security deposit for possible damage and minibar use, which hadn't been clearly explained when I booked. The room itself lacked basic comfort and cleanliness: there was a large visible stain on the mattress, the sheets weren't clean, and the tiny sink had no room even for a toothbrush. The shower had no enclosure, so water flooded the bathroom floor. The stove control knob was uncovered, and my wife burned her finger on it. The air conditioner faced away from both the bed and seating area and didn't do its job. This was by far my most disappointing hotel stay. I strongly advise against staying here, even as a last resort.

Whenever I come to Cairo, this is the only place I stay. The studio is very nice and clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is perfect. The price is affordable too.

It was a pleasant stay in a clean hotel in a peaceful area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and cooperative, especially Mahmoud and Heba, who were great. I'd highly recommend it.
