Staybridge Suites Cairo Citystars by IHG

The service here was far below what I expected, especially from a hotel in the IHG Hotels group. Over the last two months, I spent more than 20 nights at IHG properties, including two InterContinental Hotels and one Staybridge Suites, and those stays were very good. This one was completely different. Requests for even simple things were handled painfully slowly. Staff would politely say “consider it done,” but usually nothing happened until I reminded them three or four times, sometimes after waiting as long as two hours and escalating the issue. The rooms also felt old and poorly maintained for this price level. I had already paid for five more nights, which made the disappointment worse. The high price didn't feel justified by the service. My experience is a reminder that a good stay at one branch of a large chain doesn't guarantee the same standards at another.

The remodeled suites felt fresh and thoughtfully designed, and having easy F&B access plus a shared washing machine made the stay simpler. The staff were the best part, especially at the front desk and in housekeeping. Mina deserves a special thanks for the warm welcome and care. Fantastic stay, highly recommend.

We were so happy to get a brand new, adorable studio at StayBridge suites after the other place we booked turned out to be awful, despite its “superb” score on booking.com. StayBridge really came through and took us in. The lower booking.com score here is surprising, since our first place was completely terrible. Breakfast was great for tourists, with Egyptian style food, and the staff were really friendly. They've clearly upped their game. It was a bit pricey, but we were happy.

The direct entrance to City Stars Mall makes getting there much easier and more organized. The place clearly pays attention to details and guest comfort, and professionalism shows in both the service and quick responses. It deserves a full rating, without hesitation.
