YOU Cairo Nile View Hotel

The biggest issue was the noise. Since the walls, floors, and ceiling are wood, there’s almost no soundproofing. I could hear people walking overhead and constantly shifting tables. Boats on the Nile also blasted music, and event noise went on until dawn. Then, around 9 AM, loud conversations from staff woke me again. The room was tiny, so I had to pay to move to a larger one. The furniture and floors looked worn and in need of repair. The water heater didn’t work properly either. Even after more than 30 minutes, the water still wasn’t hot enough. Breakfast was very basic: salty salad, eggs, and fava beans. For the quality, the price felt much too high. I hadn’t realized when booking that this is a floating boat on the Nile rather than a regular hotel building. Very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting quiet, comfort, or cleanliness.

The rooms were clean and the staff were really friendly, but the bathrooms need updating. This is a fixed ship hotel, and the rooms are okay, though the view from a back room is just a pile of junk. It gets especially noisy in the evenings and can go on until 3 AM on weekends. You can hear all the food traffic overhead.

The neighborhood has plenty of life, and the riverside setting is beautiful. It can get noisy, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. I’ll always remember the young woman who helped my wife after she fell and took good care of her wound. Egypt has a place in our hearts now. Thank you kindly.

The Nile view from my bedroom was amazing, especially in the morning at sunrise and again at sunset. I came all the way from Canada to enjoy that view. The rooms were comfortable, and the service was very nice. Sahar, Dunia Amar, and Mr Hazim were so cooperative, always greeting me with a friendly smile in the morning and offering help. They also helped me find some nice spots in Cario. Really appreciate them.
