Dahab Divers has a long-standing reputation in the Sinai diving community, and I see it as one of the old established centers. The location by Lighthouse reef is handy, with shore-entry diving just steps away and no long walk carrying tanks. There are cheaper dive shops in the side streets, but here you’re paying more for experienced instructors, gear that’s kept in good condition, and a safety record built over decades. For diving, that experience matters. The training, from PADI Open Water through Divemaster, is serious and professional. The goal is to leave as a confident, capable diver, not just with a license. It has an on-site hotel and restaurant, so you can stay, eat, and dive in one place, and there’s a nice sense of camaraderie after a day underwater. The instructors speak several languages, which makes learning comfortable for international visitors.

After 20 years, I came back to Egypt with my family and was so glad to find my favorite dive center in Dahab still there. The staff and instructors are the best. Thanks to Mustafa, Nubi, Mack, and Saddam. There’s plenty of space and places to rest, and the center is convenient, professional, safe, and friendly. Everything was easy.

The diving itself was high quality, and the instructor was very good, but the experience around it was disgraceful. In a whole week at the center, we weren’t even offered a tea or coffee. I’ve never seen that anywhere else in the world. With Egypt’s average salary around $100 and the price of diving, I was shocked there wasn’t even a free coffee. When it came to paying, the card machine didn’t work. We were told to withdraw cash because it suited the manager better. We took out €600, then had to pay another €60 in taxes. The manager didn’t suggest a more convenient bank or ATM, and we were left feeling like walking wallets. I work in retail, and helping and advising customers is essential. There was no kindness here. I strongly advise against both the hotel and diving center because they seemed interested only in money.

The diving was amazing. We saw turtles, anemone fish, and beautiful corals, and I’d come back. This dive center and hostel is well located, with diving right across the street. There’s a restaurant too, though I only tried the breakfast, which was fine.
