We were left outside at 9 pm with our luggage and nowhere to sleep after an 11-hour drive. I'd booked two nights and paid in advance, and had called the owner after booking, while on the road, and again when I reached Dahab. On arrival, I was told there had been a double booking, and our Agoda reservation was cancelled. We were told the money would take 30 business days to refund. We had no place to stay and no money back. DON'T BOOK HERE.

Soliman was incredibly helpful and ready to arrange whatever we asked for. The location is a little outside the city, which makes it quiet and peaceful. Our room was just okay, and a bit dirty at first, so we requested an extra cleaning. The Airbnb price felt a bit steep, though I think...

If you're hoping for a calm, relaxing holiday, don't stay here. I spent the whole vacation dealing with maintenance problems: the heater never worked, and they had overbooked the unit I was meant to stay in. The staff were rude and unprofessional too. Worst experience ever. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

Soliman, the owner, was very friendly and shared lots of information about places nearby. You can also arrange trips to nice spots through him. The house is close to the sea, and the sunrise in the morning is lovely. The room was clean, and I recommend staying here.

The kitchen gear was old, rusty, and in very poor shape, and the apartment wasn't clean. It took a day and a half for someone to come clean the rooms, by which point we had already cleaned them ourselves. The water was cut off on the second day. El Haj Soliman and his Son were also very unwelcoming and acted unprofessionally. Those were the worst three nights I've spent.
