For four days, I couldn’t get into my room with the key because it never worked, and the door knob was broken. Each time I had to call someone to let me in. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager from day one, but they avoided me until checkout, when someone finally appeared and casually said the hotel was “going into renovation.” If it isn’t fit for guests, why charge full price as if everything is working? The staff were dismissive and condescending, at times seemingly mocking valid complaints. Nobody apologized, and they acted like I was overreacting. I had to fight to move rooms, only to find most of the same issues there. The first room had a toilet that wouldn’t flush, a rust-stained jacuzzi that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and an air conditioner that didn’t work in the middle of summer. The place already felt like a disaster when we arrived, with a strong unpleasant odor and a lobby swarming with flies. The food was bland, forgettable, and not worth the price. For premium rates, this was appalling and an awful hotel experience, not worth my time or money.

Breakfast was disappointing, both the taste and the selection. The rooms were very dirty, and they left the same bedsheets on for the entire week. When our key cards stopped working, they said we must have put them next to our phones.

The service was basically nonexistent, and the bathroom was filthy, with hair all over it. Our room door wouldn't work, so staff climbed in through the balcony to open it. That felt incredibly unsafe, since anyone could have done the same. Ocean Blue Hotel in Marina was easily the worst hotel I've ever seen. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I had a great five days at Golden Ocean. The view was amazing, everything was clean, and the staff were really friendly. You do have to cross the street to get to the pool and beach. The restaurant Gossip had great service and excellent food. The room furniture was old, but it was okay, not the worst.

I didn't feel safe after the room card system crashed on the second day. They had to let us in each time, and a staff member climbed through the balcony at the back to open the door from inside. Anyone could get in that way, and staff could now enter our room whenever they wanted. The bathroom wasn't clean at check-in, the toilet seat was broken, the bin was rusty, and the shower cabin was broken too. It wasn't a good experience.
