I contacted the hotel through Booking.com chat and WhatsApp before my trip to explain that unforeseen circumstances meant I couldn't travel as planned. I asked if they would consider an exceptional cancellation. Replies were limited and unclear, sometimes saying “don’t worry my friend,” but never confirming anything concrete. A friend called the property for me. The hotel said verbally that I would get a full refund if the room was rebooked, or a partial refund otherwise, and we accepted that. After the reservation date passed, the hotel stopped responding. I contacted Booking.com customer service and learned the property had reported that I behaved offensively toward staff during my stay as we as repeatedly complained about the New Year’s fireworks. That was impossible because I never checked in. After I raised the issue, Booking.com confirmed that the hotel had reported the wrong guest. The hotel gave no apology or clarification. The hotel still refused to approve the cancellation and didn't follow its stated no-show policy on a partial refund. Booking.com had to intervene several times to resolve things. Even an excellent location can't make up for misleading communication and not honoring stated policies. The hotel's actions showed a lack of accountability and sincerity, making it hard to trust what staff promise. I'm happy to share any relevant messages and records if more clarification is needed.

From the roof, the view is really good, so it’s a nice spot to relax and take it in. The location helps too: the ground floor is right beside the ticket office, which means you can head to the pyramids first thing and be among the first visitors. It was a little hard to find, but the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Thanks again to them.

I’d be very cautious about the ratings here. When I looked into them after our stay, I found what seemed like repeated patterns of suspicious reviews, including accounts posting three or four perfect 10s with no comments. That didn’t match our experience, and it made the scores feel unreliable. I also learned the hotel had reportedly been suspended after Booking.com investigations, then returned under different hotel names and newly made accounts. Booking.com doesn’t seem to be dealing effectively with these reviews, so its ratings can give a misleading impression. I recommend checking reviews across several sources before booking. Personally, after what happened and what I found out, I’d avoid this area altogether.

Even arriving in the middle of the night, I was welcomed and given a room right away. I was also given the hotel’s most beautiful room for free on my first night because I chose to stay there. The staff made the whole visit feel special, and I want to thank them all, especially Abbderaman Nasr. He arranged transport and excursions at fair prices, helped me negotiate while shopping, and made me feel safe in Egypt. I could call on him whenever I needed something. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. From the balcony and rooftop terrace, you can see the Pyramids and the Sphinx, and the hotel is opposite them. Service, food, drinks, and excursions were all excellent. It was a unique vacation I won’t forget, and I’ll definitely come back.
