The route to the hotel was a little tricky, but the staff were friendly and really helpful. It’s in a beautiful spot right across from the pyramids, near one of the exit gates of The Great Pyramids of Giza. From the terrace you get that picture-perfect view. They also gave us a small souvenir. I’d recommend staying here, and for dinner with a view, visit their restaurant Rooftop 7000.

The rooftop view is excellent and the hotel is only steps from the pyramids, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were in two rooms on different floors and both had the same problems: dated, poorly maintained interiors, harsh fluorescent lights, and windows that were effectively useless. Most looked onto a neighboring building or a dark shaft with exposed pipes. The showers leaked badly and often left the bathroom floor flooded. Rooms on the fourth floor are directly under the rooftop restaurant. You hear chairs scraping and people moving around at all hours, including late at night, so avoid that floor. Breakfast comes with the room and has a reasonable selection, but service was consistently poor. We had to ask for coffee or tea after sitting down, then often waited 20 minutes or got nothing, whether the restaurant was busy or not. Staff were around while tables were left unset. The front desk staff were the one pleasant part of the stay, courteous and efficient at check-in and check-out. The place feels like two-star accommodation, and the location is its only real draw. Nearby options offer the same proximity with much better comfort and service.

Cheap, and lowkey a great spot for watching the pyramid and sphynx (idk spelling). In the morning it wasn’t too crowded around the best seat. I was on the first floor and could still see the pyramid clearly, and it wasn’t loud inside, apart from cars, horses, and some loud old man shouting for ramadan. The only thing I didn’t like was the sewer-like smell in the toilet and shower room.

A special thank you to our driver, Vin Diesel, who was so kind and friendly and took great care of me and my wife throughout the trip. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, and our stay at Pyramid Hotel was very pleasant. The food was fresh and healthy, which we really appreciated. I’m writing this very late, but visiting Egypt was a wonderful experience. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

The rooftop restaurant has a spectacular view, and the staff really try to make the place welcoming. Being so close to the pyramids is a big plus. The room itself was small, though, with barely enough space to open a suitcase on the bed. There was a persistent sewer smell in the bathroom, so we had to keep its door shut to stop the smell spreading into the room. The elevator wasn’t working during my stay, and none of the amenities felt like those of a three-star place. I’d call it two-star at best. The area is geared almost entirely toward tourists, with few local shops or restaurants at reasonable prices. For better food and shopping at fairer prices, take an Uber to Arkan Plaza. You’re also far from other fun places to spend time, so I think it’s better to stay somewhere else. The tours they offer are well organized, but cost up to four times what you can book through Agoda or Booking. The rooftop restaurant is overpriced too. I paid $10 USD just for French fries, more than a full dinner with dessert elsewhere. My booking included breakfast, yet I was charged $18 usd a day for a few boiled eggs. The staff are nice, but there are some shady practices that seem aimed at getting money out of you. The rooftop view and proximity to the pyramids are real advantages, but the prices and comfort issues made the hotel less appealing to me.
