The suite on the top floor was spacious and really nice, with two big beds, a large jacuzzi, and a lovely view of the pyramids. The hotel is tucked away down a small alley, but inside it was neat and clean. Samy welcomed us and made sure our bags got up to the room. He helped with everything we needed, including cleaning our clothes and arranging transportation. Everyone was kind to our kids, too. We had a problem with the bed and TV, and Samy made sure both were fixed promptly. If we go to Cairo again, we'll certainly consider staying here.

The team made our stay feel special, especially when they helped plan a birthday surprise on the rooftop. They were welcoming and thoughtful throughout. Our room was clean and well kept, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. And those Pyramid views at sunrise and sunset were unforgettable. The location made it easy to explore the Giza Pyramids, while still feeling peaceful. I’d happily stay at Mirage Pyramids View again.

We left for another hotel after a birthday trip that went badly from the start. My husband had booked the suite well in advance for its advertised Pyramid view and jacuzzi, but on arrival we were told it could not be used because of “electrical/water issues.” They put us in a small standard room instead, without either feature. When I asked why we hadn’t been told sooner so we could make other plans, I got no clear answer. A discount was offered, but the suite we had reserved and paid for was what we wanted. First they said it might be ready the next day, then they changed that to noon. The shifting explanations felt disorganized and made me suspect they had overbooked. Other families in the lobby seemed frustrated and were waiting for answers too. The staff appeared unprepared, and the main manager was rude and dismissive, with no empathy. After we left, there was another problem: we had paid the taxi driver $20 for the airport transfer as instructed by the hotel, but someone from the hotel came to our new hotel demanding the same $20 again. That felt invasive and completely unprofessional. A special birthday celebration turned into a horrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

For the price, the rooftop view of the pyramids is great, and the place is decent enough. The trouble started when my airport pickup didn’t arrive. I couldn’t reach anyone at the hotel, so I spent half an hour wondering whether I’d be collected. When I finally arrived, nobody even acknowledged what had happened. Food ordered through the hotel is eye-wateringly expensive, and there aren’t many places to eat within walking distance. Uber is cheap in Cairo, so I’d head farther out for meals. One odd thing: my stay later showed as a 10/10 review on booking.com even though I hadn’t written one. Be careful not to share your booking pin by mistake when staff ask to see the reservation and photograph it. Service could be better, and I wouldn’t automatically trust that booking.com rating.

Jan made it much easier to travel somewhere new. He guided us on our trip to the pyramids, helped us stay on schedule for our flight to Luxor, and shared useful information about the area. He also arranged transport and helped plan our Alexandria trip. Our group of 16 had rooms on the 5th and 6th floors with pyramid views, which were amazing. Jan and his team moved luggage where needed, kept the rooms clean and maintained, handled laundry, and dealt with reported issues promptly. A great property in the Giza area.
