The room was well maintained and had everything I needed, and the rooftop looked just like the picture. The location was perfect, only a five-minute walk from the ticket office. Mohammed was a friendly, professional host who welcomed me warmly and understood what guests need. Most of all, I never felt pressured or ripped off like I have in other places. He gave me honest, useful advice that helped me avoid tourist traps.

What made the stay special was the family running the place. Mohamed and his brother were always helpful, with advice about the neighborhood and Egypt. The room had a comfy bed, and the rooftop terrace looked out over the pyramids. Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade falafel and bread, and bottled water was available whenever we needed it. The ticket office and pyramid entrance are very close. I’d happily recommend it and hope to come back.

We came from Germany, and Mohammed made us feel at home. He even checked in after arranging our ride to Cairo airport, tracking us and asking if we’d arrived safely. Traffic had made us late, and he’d personally spoken to the driver and asked him to drive carefully. When we were leaving, he also arranged a cab after Uber drivers quoted too much, and shared a tip for finding cheaper rides. The family runs the whole place, so it felt more like visiting relatives than staying at a hotel. The rooms and property are a good deal for the price, and you can see one of the SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD when you open the windows. The pyramid entrance is at most 150 mts away. There’s a family restaurant on site with a thoughtfully put together menu and very well-cooked food, plus a beautiful rooftop terrace. Don’t miss it. In the attached video, the person in a black hoodie who carries our bags later turns up at reception. We found out he was the owner, MOHAMMED. It was my wife’s birthday, and I asked him at short notice to arrange a small cake. He did a really great job. Next time we’re in CAIRO, we’ll stay here again. Mohamed got in touch a few days before we arrived to check we’d get there safely, and the family made the stay feel easy from the start. Our room was clean and a good size, with really comfortable beds. We enjoyed the food they serve there one evening, and breakfast came with a lovely pyramid view and tasted good. We had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend it.
