The pyramids were right there in the view at breakfast, which was a real highlight. The staff were friendly and cooperative, and the rooms, food, and atmosphere were all excellent.

The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had a modern look, but the rest of the stay was a letdown. We could hear construction through the poorly insulated windows until midnight. We were also on the third floor, right below the restaurant, and heard chairs scraping around until midnight there too. Parking was tiny, with space for only six cars. Our booking included breakfast. When we checked in around 5 pm, reception said we could use the restaurant without a reservation. There, we were offered a 500-pound buffet or à la carte. We picked the buffet and asked when it was served. A very rude man, who seemed to be a manager, said it was meant for an Italian party and that he was “letting it slide” for us to eat there. I wasn't eating for free, and your staff had told us to choose between those options. It wasn't my fault that the staff weren't on the same page about how guests should be treated. There were two TVs in the room, but neither was connected to anything. They seemed to be there just for show.

Nada helped me through those first overwhelming days in Cairo, patiently answering questions and offering advice until I felt less anxious in a new culture. On my last night, Omar kept me company and made sure I felt safe while I waited around 2 am for a late private driver. We had a thoughtful, eye-opening conversation about Egypt, Cairo, and life in a Muslim country. Amr and Nour also stood out: they were respectful, honest, hardworking, and caring. They kept the hotel immaculate, then immediately turned their attention to guests. They even walked me through Cairo's chaotic streets to find what I needed, staying close and guiding me safely through the traffic and crowds. I arrived straight from a long trip from Australia and felt unprepared for the culture shock. From the moment I entered Palacio Pyramids Hotel, the staff made me feel welcome and safe. The new hotel was beautifully kept and exceptionally clean, and my comfortable, thoughtfully designed room felt surprisingly luxurious. I had a private bathtub in the lounge with a full view of the Giza Pyramids. It was surreal to bathe while looking at one of the ancient wonders. Everything I needed was there and worked perfectly. The rooftop restaurant and café was peaceful, with comfortable seats, umbrellas, and a view of the Pyramids. The staff were attentive and genuinely looked after me. All the staff were wonderful, and I especially appreciated Nada, Omar, Amr, and Nour. The review continues in the Noteworthy Details Section...

Abdulrahman made my time in Egypt easy and enjoyable. He was reliable and professional, gave clear guidance, helped arrange local plans, and offered thoughtful suggestions. His knowledge of the area and readiness to go the extra mile made me feel comfortable and able to trust his help. He handled my needs with care and solved problems efficiently. I highly recommend his support to anyone visiting Egypt. His help made the stay memorable.

We got through our few days there, but the hotel has serious quality problems. It looks luxurious, though things feel cheap: the WiFi was too slow to use, the safe was broken, and our room wasn't cleaned apart from the trash being taken out. The sink leaked, the shower drain couldn't keep up and flooded the floor, the curtain came off its rails, and an electrical socket pulled out of the wall. There was also an annoying squeak somewhere in the room, and gaps around the windows let in traffic noise from the busy nearby streets. If waking up to a pyramid view is what you're after, this place does offer that. Just keep expectations low. Otherwise, you could come to the rooftop restaurant for dinner and the view without staying here.
