1-bed Property in Makadi Heights

The beach setting and snorkeling were amazing, and the chefs kept the food selection varied throughout our seven-day stay. Staff were friendly and worked incredibly hard. The general manager was visible and approachable, and we especially liked seeing how engaged he was with the team. We had a fantastic time and found the hotel excellent. The entertainment could still be improved, though there's a lot of potential there.

The reception team deserves special thanks. They were capable and spoke fluent German and English, and the staff's smiles and helpfulness made the service stand out. The room service was very clean, and the food was delicious. One of the best hotels I've visited in Egypt 🇪🇬, with staff chosen to a high standard. I'd happily recommend it, and we hope to return soon, especially because of the reception staff. 🥰

The Magic World animation team brought great energy and friendly vibes every day, and made the week fun. We spent seven days at Iberotel Makadi Beach and felt right at home. The beach was just perfect, while our room and the whole property were spotless and well maintained. Service throughout the resort was attentive, respectful, and always came with a smile. There was a huge variety of excellent food each day, and the à la carte restaurants were unbelievably delicious, with beautiful settings. We'd happily come back. We definitly come Back

The hotel itself is nice, and the à la carte restaurants were good, though only one dinner was free. But noise was a constant problem: the rooms aren't well insulated, and music from other hotels carried on until 11 pm. At the pool and beach, sellers kept approaching us about everything, even after we'd said “No thanks” three times. Why doesn't management do anything about it? The pool bar cocktails weren't good and felt made without care. The lounge cocktails were better, but still not up to normal standard. Food was around 6-7/10 and service 6/10. The house wine was awful, and it felt like we were forced to buy better wine. There was no sparkling water in the room, only refilled tap water, and free laundry was offered just once. The advertised spa was a joke, with broken showers, an old sauna, and an overall dirty look. We also visited Cairo, which was a mess and extremely dirty. Scammers were everywhere, and tourists were charged inflated prices. “Walking wallets” seems like the best nickname for any non-local. Shops at the hotel tried to scam us, and taxi fares back to the airport were overpriced. Uber wasn't an option because drivers cancelled if you didn't pay extra. We knew about these things beforehand, but never imagined this sort of behavior. There are other countries in the Middle East that aren't like this. Never ever again. At checkout, they overcharged us for the minibar and reception had no change. The guy before us handed us the change without being asked. You're destroying your own country with this kind of behavior toward foreigners.
