A clean, sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas is only about 50 meters away, and there’s a snack buffet right on the beach. Breakfast was tasty at Andalusia cafe on the main street, around 100 meters from the hotel. My room had a lovely sea view and was clean, with just the right amount of space. The reception guys were very helpful, and I thought the price was good for what you get. Wifi was only available at reception, though that seems normal in Egypt. A great place if, like me, you’re not looking for a five-star hotel.

These chalet-style hotel units look out over the Red Sea coast, and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The beach is fully serviced, with places to eat by the water and areas to relax. The chalets are comfortable and elegant, and there are plenty of amenities for an enjoyable seaside break.

The prices feel reasonable for Almamsha, and the beach is only a five-minute walk away. It’s quiet overall and the beach doesn’t get too crowded. The downside is the state of the rooms, especially the beds and sheets, and breakfast was bad.
