Mercure Hurghada Hotel

The Egyptian pies were a favourite, and there was plenty of excellent food to choose from. Just keep an eye on your plate on the terrace, the birds may come for a share 😂. The hotel also has lots of activities, including the spa, mini golf, boat trips, and snorkelling. Our room was clean and well maintained, and staff brought us a bottle of water every day. The hotel has a large choice of pools and bars, and I especially liked the coco tail. Everyone was attentive and helpful, always smiling and thoughtful. Ahmed deserves a special mention for looking after us and being such a nice presence during meals at the main restaurant. We had a wonderful week and are looking forward to coming back.

The packed lunches for excursions were generous, though the sandwiches were so dry most people ate only the filling. Some vegetables, sauce, or salad would help. It would also be useful to have a brochure with information about the little private shops in the complex, since they're an asset to the hotel and guests should know about them. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, one of the few things I can criticize. The outdoor area was beautiful, and the staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Food was plentiful, with a huge selection and great taste if you're willing to try something new. Even conservative guests can find food to suit European tastes. The Mercure Hotel in Hurghada is one of the best experiences we've had on our many trips. We'll definitely be back!

The hotel was partly being renovated while we were there, but we still had a very pleasant stay. Staff were incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with a smile. Mr. Hamdi, who is in charge of the restaurant, deserves special thanks. He patiently handled all our requests and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He made a real difference and made each dining experience enjoyable.

The animation team was a lot of fun and put on great shows. The food was good, though I sometimes wished there were more options. I also loved the beach, which got deep just a few steps in.
