Reemyvera Resort

We were staying next door at the Jaz aquamarine resort and walked farther along our beach, where we found this old condemned hotel. My friends, family and I went in from the beach, which was easy since it was all open. At first we were scared by what looked like a local homeless man who seemed to be on drugs. Once past him, we found the place empty and explored, wondering why it had shut down. The pools were partly full of stagnant green water, but the sunbeds and facilities were still there, as if the hotel had been running and then simply left one day. We wandered around the old kitchens and found mouldy food, including a pizza left in the oven as if it had been cooking. The dining hall was unlocked, and the onsite shop had been abandoned with all its contents inside. The rooms were horrible, but fun to mess around in. The rooms are very spacious, but there isn’t much else memorable about this mediocre hotel. It sits beside an incredibly long sandy lagoon, and the restaurant food just meets the minimum acceptable standard. To me, it’s only somewhere to spend the night, nothing more.

It’s a good place, but there aren’t any facilities.

I was here in 1999 and liked the place.
