Siva Grand Beach

The food was the best part of the hotel, and the professional dancers really made my jaw drop. The pool areas were pretty underwhelming, though, so I’d give it a 4.5. There’s just a tiny kids one and a regular pool with depths of 160 cm and 130 cm. There are no pool toys, steps inside the pool, slides, or anything like that. The pool maintenance is pretty good, at least.

The outside of Siva Grand Beach hotel has been renovated and has beautiful furnishings, though the room looked a bit dated. That didn’t matter much since we mostly needed it for sleeping, but the toilets really need renovation. We stayed from 28th of may to 31st in a junior suite room, and everything exceeded our expectations. Our child is 1 and 3 months year old, so it mattered that the place was family friendly. There’s a huge stretch of sandy beach, high chairs, a kids area, stroller ramps, and green spaces. It’s an all inclusive hotel with hot and cold drinks, water, and a variety of tasty snacks available almost all the time. The staff were all friendly, and the food was AMAZING, especially dinner, with the biggest variety I’ve ever seen, even after staying at lots of 5-star hotels. There was Indian cuisine, asian cuisine, pizza, pasta, grilled food, sushi, deserts, salads, soup, and lots more. The staff even kindly let us have lunch after check-out. I’m surprised this hotel only has 4 stars. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The beach was lovely and close to the airport, though getting a lounger meant arriving early because guests had already claimed many with towels. Food was acceptable for an all-inclusive place, but nothing fancy; the soft drinks and cocktails were poor quality. The local beer was fine and cold. Service was hit or miss. Staff often didn't bring drinks unless tipped, though you could fetch them yourself at the bars. The rooms are dated, which didn't bother us, and some seem to be under renovation. With a resort this large, that may take time. Most guests seemed to be retired Europeans, especially Germans, likely because of the direct flights from Germany. That wasn't an issue for us, but it's something to know before booking.

We especially appreciated how quickly the management dealt with any problems. Mr. Reda and Mr. Ahmed Gamal were particularly dedicated and professional, and helped make our stay comfortable. The beach was spacious and well cared for, with clear water, and Hurghada's center was an easy walk away for shops and evening outings. There was plenty of food, with a good mix of local and international dishes. We had a wonderful holiday at Siva Grand Beach, and would recommend it for its convenient location, comfort, and attentive service.
