The beach we could access was cozy and relaxing, and breakfast at Yamsa was good. The location has great vibes, and the hospitality stood out. All the staff were polite and helpful.

From the moment I arrived, everyone was warm and welcoming. The staff kept helping with whatever I needed and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable visit with genuinely helpful people.

Sleep was the reason I booked a room, but mine was next to a club whose music came through both earplugs and my over-ear noise-cancelling headphones. It closed at 3AM. I wasn’t warned when booking. On arrival I was told there would be “marina noise,” which I reasonably took to mean people milling around outside. I’d requested a quiet room when booking and asked to move once I learned this, but was told there were no rooms available. With plans for the day and so little notice, it didn’t occur to me to cancel everything and walk around looking for another hotel. I contacted the front desk several times between 1 and 2:30 am before being told a room had become available. It seemed strange that someone would check out at that hour. In the morning I expected a full refund, but instead was made to feel grateful for having had access to two rooms without an extra charge. The manager blamed me, booking.com, and the city. The problem was that the hotel had misrepresented the situation. After 45 minutes, they offered $14, the difference between my original “premium Marina” room and the room where I actually managed to sleep. The offer came with the condition that I withdraw any complaints against the hotel, so I turned it down. I’ll never return. I’d sincerely recommend staying elsewhere if you value sleep, especially if you’re a solo female traveller, since wandering the streets at night is more than inadvisable. Such a sore farewell to Egypt.

Right in the heart of El Gouna, with everything just a few steps away, Turtle'l Inn felt warm and welcoming. My room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. There’s also a wonderful restaurant directly above it. I’m genuinely pleased with my stay, and found the place charming and cozy.
