Xanadu Makadi Bay - High Class All Inclusive

Our family had a very enjoyable and memorable visit to Xanadu Hotel, and we’re grateful to everyone who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were comfortable, the facilities excellent, and each staff member we met was courteous and helpful. We appreciated the hospitality, professionalism, and care in the details. They made our family of 10 feel well looked after at Xanadu Makadi Bay Hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the start, and they arranged five rooms together on the same floor, which made things much easier. Karim Mohammed on the beach deserves a special mention. He worked hard all day, was friendly, great with the kids, and helped make the stay memorable. We’d happily come back.

We’ve had a wonderful stay at Xanadu Hotel, and today is our last day. The staff have been amazing, always kind, helpful, and smiling. The food has a great range and very high quality, and travelling with our 1-year-old baby has been comfortable. The hotel is well suited to families. The late checkout was the one disappointment. There was no free option, and we were asked for 50 EUR for just six more hours. With a small baby, that felt disappointing. A complimentary or more flexible late checkout for families would make the experience even better. I’d gladly recommend the hotel and hope management considers more flexible late checkout, especially for guests with young children.

I’ve stayed at Xanadu Makadi Bay three times in two years, and this was another unforgettable holiday. I don’t usually write reviews, but the resort deserves one. You’re welcomed with a drink on arrival, and the friendly staff speak several languages. There are several pools of different depths, so there’s something for everyone. I spent my days playing volleyball and quickly got to know other guests. The animation team also runs daily activities including darts, archery, and other sports. Children have a kids’ club and a mini disco each evening, where parents are encouraged to join in too. There’s a big buffet as well as several à la carte restaurants, which are easy to book on your phone and usually don’t cost extra. The food is varied and high quality everywhere, with snacks and buffets at different spots around the resort during the day. Thanks especially to Mr. Murat, Mr. Hakan, Mr. Hakim, and Mr. Ahmad for their care and hospitality. The expansion with the new Xanadu Club section and nightclub The Dockers shows the resort keeps improving and trying new things. I’ve been to Hurghada many times, but haven’t found a hotel like Xanadu Makadi Bay there.
