Al Moudira Hotel

On my first trip to Egypt, this became my favorite hotel. The enormous gardens are wonderful to walk around, and the eclectic luxury design makes the place feel special. It has its own organic farm to table operation, three restaurants, a large elegant pool lined with luxury cabanas, a spa, workout facility, and private villas tucked away in garden settings. My interior photos are of Villa Nubia. The villa has a courtyard, a long beautiful pool with private cabanas, a library, and formal living and dining rooms. Perfect and magical. If you love striking, Architectural Digest style boutique stays, this is a must stay in Luxor.

Our suite had plenty of room and was beautifully furnished, comfortable but still full of character. The spa and massage were great, and the food was outstanding. We tried both the Egyptian restaurant and the pool restaurant, and everything was delicious. New Year's Eve was especially memorable: the team coordinated between the two spaces so well that it became one of our best celebrations. The hotel feels calm from the moment you arrive, with thoughtful design throughout and a laid-back kind of luxury. The pool was lovely, and the staff were always warm and attentive while giving us space. The chief concierge deserves a special mention for arranging our onward transfer and a wonderful day outing so smoothly. Luxor has a beautiful, almost healing energy, and staying at Al Moudira made the whole trip feel magical. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful, unforgettable stay.

A lush park surrounds the suites, with a farm just behind supplying ingredients for the kitchen. The hotel isn't central, but that makes it a peaceful break from the bustle of the east bank. We'd gladly return for a week. Staff were welcoming, professional, always smiling, and keen to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was delicious, and the heated pool was lovely. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, though a little too dark for my taste.

The food was delicious, with fresh produce grown on the property's farm. The whole place has a top tier atmosphere that made us feel like we'd stepped into a fantasy land. Facilities were great too, including a temperature controlled pool and steam room and sauna. We used the gym, and Mustafa deserves a special mention for giving us an hour-long afternoon fitness class. Staff were friendly and efficient overall. We had a fantastic stay.
