Al Wadi Hotel

The setting on Luxor's West Bank was beautiful, with a pool to relax by and surroundings that felt timeless. This is the quieter, more rural part of the city, almost like stepping into the past. Local people were so welcoming that after just one day they recognized us and greeted us warmly in the street. The people at the hotel made us feel at home from the start. Everyone was helpful and attentive, and Mohamed checked in every day to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. One evening Roberto joined the owner's birthday party, which became a joyful celebration and a lovely personal glimpse of Egyptian hospitality. We also had a simple, authentic, delicious lunch of fresh fish prepared by the chef. Between the warm staff, personal touches, and beautiful surroundings, our stay gave us a real connection to Egyptian culture and everyday life. After a long day visiting temples, we really appreciated how far this place is from the noisy city. A real little gem. The massage room is beautifully decorated with antique pieces everywhere, and stepping inside feels like going back in time. Highly recommended.
