The location made it easy to explore Luxor, and the pool and garden are beautiful. The staff were amazing, with especially lovely hospitality from Marina. Our bathroom was a bit run down, but their warmth and service more than made up for it. We had a wonderful stay at Iberotel Luxor. Highly recommended!

The gardens and pool area are lovely, and the views across the Nile to West Bank are great. For the best outlook, I recommend a Nile facing room in the middle and on a higher floor. The hotel makes a great base for Luxor’s attractions, mostly because of its location and the genuinely warm, lovely staff. They’re cheerful, welcoming, and go out of their way to help. Some room details, especially the bathrooms, are a bit worn, but the many good points more than make up for that.

The hotel sits in a great spot on the Nile, with lovely sunsets over the Valley of the Kings, and Luxor Temple is an easy walk away. Reception, pool, and bar staff were very good. The buffet breakfast was good, though the restaurant menu was limited and less impressive. It works well for a short break or a stopover. We stayed for three nights, 10th to 13th February 2026. The rooms feel tired: doors don’t fit or close properly, and the key was temperamental. They won’t make up the room unless you put out the make up my room sign. There were no towels when we arrived, and shower gel and shampoo weren’t replenished. The hotel will need to raise its game once the new 4 Seasons opens next door.

Mr Ahmad at the reservation desk was a very pleasant gentleman. The hotel also surprised me for my golden birthday, upgrading us to a room with a beautiful view, decorating it, and bringing a cake. We had a lovely birthday dinner at the Italian restaurant, and there were good food options at the main retaurant too. I had a fabulous stay at Iberotel Luxor. It’s very well located and the customer service was superb. If I come back to Egypt, I’ll definitely stay here again.

The best things here are the central location, food, and views, provided you get a decent rate. It’s a mid-tier hotel on the east bank in central Luxor, with plenty of Nile-side seating, morning views of Hot Air Balloons, a swimming pool, and the large Lotus Boat restaurant on the Nile. Restaurants and attractions along the Nile Corniche are about a five-minute walk. Luxor Temple is ten minutes on foot, Karnak temple ten minutes by car, the West Bank sights including Valley of Kings/Queens around thirty minutes by car, and the airport about twenty minutes away. The area feels very secure and is walkable at all hours. There’s no hotel parking, so bringing your own vehicle isn’t advisable. Rooms are comfortable but dated and compact, with thin walls. You’ll hear neighboring voices, and doors shutting make the walls shake. Beds and pillows are nice, and closet space is decent. The TV is flat screen but old. There are few charging points, with old sockets in awkward places, so converters are needed. The mini fridge was very dirty and sticky; the safe didn’t work and was very old, and the room phone was old too. There’s no iron, and the hotel pushes overpriced, slow laundry service. Ask for an inner-facing room, since road-facing rooms get too noisy. The bathroom is small, with old fittings, weak shower pressure on the fourth floor, and an inefficient fixed hair dryer. Amenities are fixed and not great in quality or scent. Towels are extremely old and past their useful life. The price doesn’t feel justified by the rooms or bathroom. Breakfast, on the other hand, was excellent: a big range of Continental, English, and Egyptian food, a substantial bread selection, and an omelette station. The food tasted great and was good quality, with indoor seating and an outdoor terrace facing the Nile. Breakfast staff can’t speak English, so you mostly need sign language. They close exactly at 10 AM and clear everything quickly, including switching off the coffee machine. The pool is on a floating boat on the Nile and is heated, with an adjoining bar and lots of seating. There are several Nile-facing terraces that are great for unwinding after sightseeing. Some of the restaurants are popular, including Lotus Boat. Local weddings are held here too, so weekends can get crowded with wedding guests. The hotel convenience store is extremely overpriced, and there are stop handicraft shops inside. As of February/March 2026, a huge hotel is being built next door, so expect some construction noise during working hours. In peak season rooms get very pricey, so book ahead for a lower rate.
