Nile Valley Hotel & Restaurant

We loved how easy it was to get around from here. The docks are only a block away, so crossing to the East Bank by private boat or public ferry was simple. The restaurant upstairs had a beautiful Nile view, and the food was surprisingly good for the price. The staff were warm and helpful from the moment we arrived, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Good value in a really convenient spot in Luxor. I’d recommend it.

From the restaurant you get a great view of the Nile and all the activity on it, plus a good spot for people watching. The place sits above a lovely new riverside area where children skate and play on the smooth, fresh tiles. The team were kind and made us feel welcome. The local food was really good, with a few other cuisines on the menu too. A special spot.

The juice was the only thing I liked. I ordered two omelets, basically just eggs, and a juice, and the bill came to 583 EGP for those three simple items. That felt way out of proportion. I felt they were inflating prices, especially after noticing I was a foreigner. It didn’t feel fair, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was unusable for hours after check-in because they’d sprayed so much air freshener. The hot tub listed in the ad wasn’t there, the advertised room Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the hot water was out. The queen bed was just two twins pushed together. They have no idea what they’re doing. Do your best to avoid this place.
