We stayed for 2 nights, and the room was tight and smelled really bad. The fridge didn't work, and no matter how many times we asked for it to be replaced, nothing happened. The AC had no wings, so we couldn't control where the air went. The shower pressure was very weak, and there was no hot water on the 1st day. The TV screen was blurry and only had one channel. Breakfast was poor. The worst part was that they don't provide water, you have to buy it, even with your booked meal. Don't choose to stay there.

My family and I were traveling from hurghada to luxor, and we booked philippe hotel on booking.com because the photos looked promising. We forgot to check the reviews. Getting from the lobby to our room took a long time because the elevator was broken. The hotel was old, the fridge didn't work, and there was no shampoo. I didn't even want to shower with just some random soap bar. The view was okay, but I didn't eat breakfast because nothing looked appetizing. The rooftop pool was cloudy and very green, with dead insects in it. I'm very disappointed, though the service was okay. Don't be fooled by the pictures!

The rooftop view is a highlight, especially in the morning, and gives the place a charming feel. The hotel is very close to the tourist promenade, which is convenient, and the rooms are exceptionally clean. Service was outstanding too. The food isn't the best, but the overall stay was very good, especially for a 3-star hotel.

The food was nice, but the rooms are very small.

We were here for 3 days. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the beds comfortable. For a 3 star hotel, it's above average and good for what you pay. The one thing I didn't like much was the breakfast.
