After a very busy week in Egypt, this felt like a luxurious way to end a beautiful trip. The pool overlooking the Nile was amazing, and the bellmen were friendly and helpful from the start. Our room was pristine, and I should mention that we seem to have had one of the more modern rooms, facing the center of the hotel over the Lebanese restaurant. It was gorgeous. I hadn’t realized there was a tiered room option, so I’d go for the better rooms. Breakfast was extensive and fresh, with lots of made-to-order options. On the patio, you can watch the pita being baked and get fresh falafel. It was the best falafel we had in Egypt. The women working on the patio were all so kind and friendly, and gave us a warm send-off at the end of our stay. We also ate at the Lebanese restaurant, where our waiter was attentive and the food was delicious. The general service charge doesn’t go directly to your server, so if you like the service you can give that person something directly. There are shops for last-minute gifts, and I thought the perfume oils were fairly priced, though I didn’t compare prices elsewhere. The seller had replicas of many designer scents that smelled very close. There’s also an ATM inside.

On my first night, I already felt good about staying here. The location is just minutes from downtown sites, and there are five restaurants and a pool overlooking the Nile. The room is comfortable and the service is great. At the Nile lounge, I met Ahmed and I believe the other person’s name was Kamal. Ahmed was very hospitable, and the tea and snack were great. I really enjoyed it. Thank you Ahmed for your suggestions and for making our visit so pleasant!

We stayed for a week on a half board basis in a lovely Nile view room. The views were amazing and worth the extra cost. The breakfast buffet was especially good, with lots of choice and high-quality food. The hotel is very well managed, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. A special thank you to the 3 ladies baking the bread, making the croissants, and cooking omelettes, for their lovely smiles and service. Thank you Nile Palace, we’ll be back.

Our National Geographic tour arranged one night here, and we wished we’d had other choices. The pleasant Nile view was the hotel’s main charm; otherwise it felt basic, with dated furnishings, no gym to speak of, and a lobby that felt like a less-glam resort hotel. Our room faced site workers painting a wall and door, and the paint smell was strong. We had to change rooms, and the receptionist was accommodating. Breakfast had limited variety, but the dinner buffet was pleasantly interesting, with distinctive local dishes including molokhia. Everyone on our Egypt tour thought this was the low point for accommodation, though looking back Steinerberger was better than our Nile River cruise, so I’m giving it 3/5.

The Nile location is peaceful and convenient for getting around, and the hotel felt elegant and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The rooms and atmosphere were lovely, and the staff were attentive, kind, and professional without feeling stiff. Everyone made an effort to keep us comfortable. My birthday made the stay especially memorable. There was a birthday message waiting in the room, followed later by a lovely cake as a surprise. Those thoughtful gestures made me feel cared for. We’ll cherish the experience and would absolutely return to Steigenberger Nile Palace if we visit Luxor again.
