SENTIDO Reef Oasis Suakin Resort

We spent two weeks at this all-inclusive resort around New Year with our children, aged 1 and 3. It was fantastic, and the kids' pool was a real highlight. They played there for hours. The pools and gardens were lovely, and the resort itself was beautiful and very well cared for. The golf cart shuttle was excellent, with one always available within a few minutes. The children loved it so much that they took extra rides just for fun. Food was tasty and varied across the buffet and à la carte restaurants, with plenty of options for the kids too. The staff were especially kind, enthusiastic, and caring with our children. We've never had service this warm and attentive. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back.

We went during the Eid vacation and loved our stay. The staff's hospitality was what we appreciated most, especially Taha and Ulas, and the food was amazing. The grounds are huge and everything is very well organized. We wished we could have stayed longer, it's a must go to. There is a construction site, but no work was happening during Eid.

The dive shop was a total disaster, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. We came as a couple for a week hoping to spend the days scuba diving, so that really affected the trip. Food, drinks, and value for money were good, and the hotel manager was understanding when we raised concerns. He moved us from a room with technical problems to another one, even upgrading us. The resort is fairly new, though some details are still work in progress. Its layout could be better, with routes between areas that seem more suited to golf carts than walking. There's also a large construction site right next door, for a building owned by the same owner. Service quality was the biggest issue. Many staff were friendly and open, but some seemed completely unmotivated. Reception didn't address some room problems we reported, and housekeeping behaved completely out of line by opening the door while guests were using the toilet and leaving it open to the corridor. In the end, we wouldn't recommend the resort.

The hotel looked clean and well kept at first, and staff were generally polite and respectful. Still, many workers kept asking where we were from. It felt unnecessary, and I wasn't comfortable giving personal information to everyone I dealt with. In the first days, the hotel carried out pest control fumigation without warning. They suddenly released chemical smoke while we were sitting outdoors. We left immediately, but my daughter is very sensitive and developed severe coughing that lasted a week. We went to the clinic at the hotel and were charged an extremely high amount, around €400. Later the hotel said the clinic wasn't under their control, which was disappointing since it's on the premises. All three of us also had severe diarrhea and vomiting after eating at the hotel restaurant. By the final days we felt so unwell that we barely left the room. Construction was going on inside the hotel during our stay too, and the noise greatly disturbed our rest. I'll attach photos to support these points.
