Almazino, Almaza Bay

The beach was fantastic, and the buffet had plenty of choice. The coffee was very tasty, the staff were friendly, and our room attendant, Mohamed, did a great job keeping the room clean. We could also use amenities at other hotels. So far, it seemed a good fit for budget-minded adults looking for quiet and good service. Two things changed that impression. For a demanding full-day trip, the breakfast packet was tiny and the sandwich was prepared incorrectly, so it was basically unusable. We had to buy another breakfast for US$ 17, and coffee wasn’t included in the packet. I’d booked a premium private tour through TripAdvisor for US$ 860, but security wouldn’t let my car transfer into the resort, despite my having the service invoice, license plate number, and arrival time. Reception wouldn’t help by allowing the car in or arranging a taxi to the gate. We ended up walking 2.5 km over unpaved roads with heavy traffic and dangerous stray dogs to reach the highway near the resort.

It has a nice family feel, without big crowds, and the staff in both the main restaurant and rooftop bar were great. The food selection is limited, but what they served was absolutely perfect at both breakfast and dinner. For value, it’s a great JAZ hotel. The room had no wardrobe, and its bathroom wasn’t adequate. A shower stall with a rubber sheet feels unworthy of the 21st century.

It’s a peaceful hotel with a family atmosphere, and we were very well looked after. The staff service made us especially happy. Mr. Reda, the manager, was helpful and always smiling. When you don’t eat meat, he’ll even bring a special vegetarian meal from the kitchen. The food was delicious, with something for everyone, though we didn’t manage to try everything. The beach is a short walk away at the neighboring hotel, and most of the time a gentleman was ready to take us there. We appreciated the comfort and convenience, and the beautiful swan made in our room while it was cleaned. We’ll gladly come back. Thank you.

Room 228 here. The kitchen served tasty, good food, and the dining room staff deserve thanks too. Housekeeping kept the room clean and fresh, and I could always ask for an extra towel or help.
