I’ve traveled to 50 countries across 3 continents and stayed in all kinds of hotels, from Ibis budget hotels to Four Seasons. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The staff were horrible, the food felt poisonous, and there was chaos everywhere. I booked for me and my children a month ahead, then was told the day before that my booking had been changed because a family from high ranked armed forces needed a room and they gave them mine. They promised to compensate me financially, but three months later they’re ignoring my messages. The rooms were filthy, there were no towels, and toiletries weren’t enough. They provided one small shampoo bottle for four people. Food was often unavailable, and after waiting 30 minutes for coffee, I ended up with diarrhea. They held a “private” birthday party with a loud speaker outside my window until 1 a.m. The beach was dirty and crowded as hell. My children were visiting Egypt for the first time, and the experience made them hate the city and never want to return. Incompetent management, lawless chaos, rude and unclean staff. I’ll never visit another Jewel establishment.

The entry fee was surprisingly expensive, but the beach itself was very disappointing and not worth the price. Litter and poor maintenance made the area unpleasant and not at all clean or comfortable.

The location is handy for getting to lots of beaches, markets, cafes, and other entertainment. But one particular cafe kept blasting music nonstop from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, making it a very bad place for anyone who likes to sleep at night. I wouldn’t go back. The rooms weren’t as clean as they should be, especially the toilets, and room service was often late. Breakfast and dinner had good options, but after a couple of days my stomach hurt. I don’t know whether it was the food or something else.

The service is really good, and the sea is crystal clear. Everyone is friendly here. Highly recommend it.

The beach is quiet and has lovely white sand, though it gets busy from July 15 through the end of August, especially around 2 pm. The buffet and food are very good, and the staff are friendly. Rooms are on the small side and the facilities could be better, but the sea-view rooms are lovely. There are stairs available for wheelchair access. At night the casino 🎰 starts up, and it gets louder later on.
