The kitchen was a highlight for me, with food I’d rate 4/5, and watching the huge ships pass through the Suez Canal from the front-row location was unforgettable. But Resta Port Said feels stuck in the past. The furniture and interior are very dated, as if the hotel hasn’t been renovated for decades. The rooms aren’t soundproof, so street noise kept me from sleeping well and left me tired and disturbed the next day. The heater wasn’t working properly, and the internet was very poor, whether for work or browsing. Come for the canal views and food, but expect an old room and a noisy night. If the place were renovated, it could be 10/10, but it needs a lot of work as it is.

The canal and sea room has the most stunning views in all of Port Said. You really can’t beat them. My room was large, beautiful, clean, and had a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, too. The staff were consistently helpful and made sure I had what I needed. Mr. Mohamed Salama deserves special mention for going above and beyond with his hospitality. I felt truly welcome and enjoyed my stay. Thank you so much!

The price is good, but the network service was really slow. I called housekeeping twice to ask for three bottles of water and waited a long time, but nothing came. Room service was bad too. If you’re looking for a good hotel, don’t go there.
