Dive Inn Resort

The team really makes this place feel special. Everyone was kind, attentive and genuinely warm, and even our smallest requests were dealt with right away and always with a smile. We felt very well looked after. This was our second trip here, and we’re so glad we chose the hotel again. The atmosphere is lovely and peaceful, and we’ve already decided that when we go on holiday, we’ll come back here. A big thank you to everyone. We’ll see you for our third visit!

The people here are nice, and there’s plenty for kids to do. The woman at the massage salon also did a great job. It’s a small resort, and the rooms are old and dated, though they were fine overall. A renovation of the rooms and bathrooms would make a big difference. The sheets felt grainy too, maybe they’re due for a change. The buffet seemed more geared toward Russians, I guess, and the food was mostly the same day after day. I like eggplant, but after seven days in a row I nearly turned into one 😂. The location is okay, with not much around, but everything is less than ten minutes away by taxi.

The holiday could have been decent, but management’s choices left me disappointed. The hotel itself is okay, the rooms were clean, and most of the executive staff were friendly and helpful. The evening shows were nice and varied too. One person at reception was very unhelpful, though. I don’t know their name, but it wasn’t Mohammed, who was lovely. Renovation work was happening in the room next to mine. There was drilling and hammering all day, and nothing changed after I complained. At 9:30 one evening they were still working, so I went to reception. The man there barely said a word, didn’t apologize or take action himself, and only called the room after I asked him to make them stop. The pool music was also very loud. Most guests while I was there were older and seemed to want to relax, so the volume didn’t suit the crowd. They should have kept the block of rooms being refurbished empty to limit the disruption. I understand the need for renovation, but they didn’t think it through. If you want warm food, choose the freshly prepared items and skip the trays.

The staff are what I’ll miss most. They’re warm, loyal and genuinely kind, and over the years some have become close friends. For a budget hotel, Dive inn resort in Sharm el Sheik is not bad, and it used to feel like my sanctuary. The constant “Animation” has overwhelmed the place. There’s no real control over the volume, and the loud music, recycled games and repeated themes make it feel like being stuck in a Groundhog Day time warp. To get away from it, you have to leave the hotel. Bring noise eliminating earbuds or headphones. My last visit was also marked by a fall on wet stairs and a lack of empathy from management. For years I’d brought thousands of pounds’ worth of clothing and jewellery in exchange for rooms, specifically for the manager’s wife, as many other people do. When she ordered the wrong shoe size and owed me money, she stopped replying to my messages. After my fall, she never asked how I was. Not a kind gesture, not a word. Sadly, this was our last visit.
