A rental car gives you much more freedom here. There are nice suites owned by different landlords, as well as some Italians. There’s a market and a drugstore next door. We had an option that included a beach card, while others had to compete for space on the beach because they could only go after their hotel breakfast. Bring mosquito repellent and fly spray. Even the water from the shops doesn’t taste good, so bring some anti-diarrhea pills in advance. The best time to visit is late October to early December. The pool is always clean, and at noon they turn on the pump for the kids’ water slides.

The location is convenient for reaching places like Nabq and Soho Square, and taxis from most tourist spots are relatively cheap. The complex itself is very nice, and the rooms vary, with some good and some bad, but overall the quality is fine. The pools are the main problem. The one by the entrance was disgusting, full of flies, leaves, flowers and other unpleasant stuff. I saw water bottles and even a plastic bag full of dirt. They did clean it two days later, but that was too late. I think it could have been done at night instead of in the middle of the day when it was busiest.

We loved our family stay last week, especially the slides, and there was lots of room around the pools. We also enjoyed access to the beach. Just keep in mind that the pools aren’t heated and the place is a little out of the way.

The owner is kind and the service is nice. Shops are nearby, and the beach is close enough for a pleasant walk. There are amazing coral reefs at the beach. The weather is always good :)

It’s a large apartment in a quiet area, but far away from everything. I wouldn’t recommend it for a vacation.
