The apartment smelled so awful it made me feel like I might throw up. There were cigarettes on the floor, and the place was ridiculously dirty. You could see your footprints, as if nobody had swept or mopped before we arrived. I'm not criticizing anyone, and I know this isn't a five-star hotel, but they should at least provide a clean place. Fly catchers would cost almost nothing, too. A lot of things were broken. The doors wouldn't shut, including the bathroom door, and the TV buttons were broken. The fridge didn't work, only the freezer did. We were given a place that clearly hadn't been cleaned. The location was no good for deliveries either. Uber Eats and Talabat wouldn't deliver because it was outside their range. Service wasn't good: when we called the number they gave us, nobody answered, and there's no reception.

This is my favorite resort in Sharm alshaikh. It's quiet and clean, the location is outstanding and close to everything, and the security team is amazing.

One thing I really appreciated was the parking. Parking spaces at sunny lakes are readily available, which is missing in many places. The gardens are beautifully green and make you feel happy, and the pools around the resort are cleaned every day and feel very safe for children. The place is comfortable and very good, and the staff are great, active, efficient, and helpful. My one missing feature was a private beach for resort guests.

I didn't enjoy the apartment, even though I liked the people living there. My kids had fun playing pity with some other children, but the apartment itself was unpleasant. It was only manageable because I had my own bedsheets and pillows and didn't need to use the kitchen or anything else. I stayed four nights in one of the cheap apartments at sunny lakes. It looked clean at first, but the mattresses and furniture were a surprise. The stove didn't work, and I couldn't get hold of anyone to come and check it. If you're looking to save money, sunny lakes might work for you. But if you want somewhere fancy and clean, don't waste your time there. You won't enjoy it.
