There are several pools and a nice, large outdoor area. The staff were mostly good, and the food selection was enough for a week. The location is the main drawback, since there’s nothing around the hotel and Naama Bay is a 20 minute taxi ride away. They should offer a free shuttle. The pool table costs 10 euro per hour, which is ridiculous, and the mattress wasn’t very good. Most guests seemed to be Italian, with their own agency’s entertainment every night, while the hotel puts on evening entertainment for the other guests only once a week. It’s near the airport, but there weren’t too many flights during the night.

The beach and sea were beautiful, and the resort was clean throughout. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the food. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

I spent most of my vacation at the lobby bar, where the service was excellent. The waiter was experienced, the bars were great, and the food was very good. The staff were always smiling. Best hotel in Sharm for me, and I’ll definitely return. Bye, Tamra, I’ll miss the hotel.

There’s little for younger guests to do here. The activities and facilities are limited, and the beach is the only real option for recreation. The atmosphere is quiet and seems aimed mainly at older adults, especially people in their third age. If you want a lively place with varied activities, this resort isn’t suitable. My stay at Tamra Beach Resort was the worst travel experience I’ve had. Staff were extremely rude and service was poor. Breakfast was very limited and tasteless, with small portions of eggs, sausages, and pastries. When I asked for a bottle of water at the table, they refused and said water was only provided at lunch and dinner, without a valid reason. Beach staff also refused to serve us drinks, including beer, saying it had run out, although we could see that it hadn’t. It felt like they were refusing because we weren’t Italian. Signs and information were all in Italian, with no effort to provide other languages, making it seem like non-Italian guests didn’t belong. During a shower, the water suddenly stopped while I was covered in foam, with no warning. I called Reception and had to wait before they turned it back on. The water bottles served were already open and seemed to have been refilled from other sources, rather than being bottled water. That’s unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this resort even for one night. It isn’t worth the money.

I won’t return to Tamra Beach Resort, and I’d urge future guests to be careful. The hotel gave no clear price beforehand, got no consent, and provided no detailed invoice. When I raised it at checkout, they did nothing to explain or take responsibility. It’s unacceptable for a hotel in this category. I called the hotel doctor for a minor stomach issue. He checked me for maybe 10 minutes, gave me half a blister of Antinal, which costs around €4 for a full box at any pharmacy, plus a couple of basic medicines, then charged me over €200. In Egypt, the whole thing should cost no more than €20-30, including medicine. When I questioned the charge, the price changed several times during the conversation, as though it depended on what I was willing to pay. This felt like a scam disguised as medical care. I also checked with a doctor at a local pharmacy. He was shocked by the amount and said that even with usual resort pricing, it should never be anywhere near that. His exact words were, “That’s exploitation.” Avoid the hotel’s medical service at all costs. If you need treatment, go to a licensed pharmacy or clinic outside the resort, and ask for written prices before agreeing to anything.
