Room 302 was awful, and the photo of it doesn't appear online or on Booking.com. We booked a triple room based on pictures of modern bedding and single beds with brown leather headboards, but the room we got looked nothing like them. The bedding was very old, there was a horrible smell when we walked in, and the beds creaked so badly we couldn't sleep. The varied breakfast is the one reason I'm giving it one star.

The location is good, and the area is quiet. Everything else felt overpriced for the kind of place it is. Breakfast wasn't as bad as people make out, but it was all processed pastries that were far too sweet, with very artificial-tasting juice, and it wasn't cheap. The staff also failed to explain the room-cleaning rule: we didn't know we had to leave a note on the door before noon. On the third day, we asked why the room hadn't been cleaned, and only then did they tell us. That was a major oversight.

The woman serving breakfast was lovely, though reception was a different story. They ignored us and left us waiting while they had a personal conversation. The place itself is very nice and the room felt cozy. The mattresses could use improvement, and the furniture looks like it's from the "cuéntame" era.

The rooms feel dated, with lots of mismatched furniture getting in the way. The bathroom is very old too, and the shower tray is ridiculously tiny, with a curtain that keeps sticking to you. Still, it works for a couple of nights, especially with Lanzada beach just 50 meters away, Sanxenxo 20 minutes away, and O Grove 10 minutes away. Breakfast is decent for this category, and there's plenty of parking.

The mattress was awful, with every spring digging into us. For personal hygiene, they gave us one small sachet of shower gel and shampoo on the first day, then refused to give us more because we were on a special offer. Shameful! We've stayed at other hotels with offers and promotions, and they've always provided shower gel and shampoo. In this case, going cheap ended up costing us dearly. We won't return or recommend it to anyone!
