The house itself is fine, but the owners' payment arrangements felt like a scam to me. They insist on a two-night minimum, even when one night is Sunday, and charge the Saturday rate for both nights. They want cash and say VAT is included, yet provide no invoice. That makes an already expensive stay 21% more expensive, paid under the table. That isn't the only reason I won't stay there again when I'm in the area. They don't seem to care. You pay VAT, but forget about getting an invoice.

Pilar is a very friendly owner, and the location made it easy to explore the province. We had a wonderful May Day long weekend here. Everything was spotless and they’d thought of everything, even thread for sewing. We especially loved the back patio, where we could eat and chat. Highly recommended.

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the house was very comfortable for our weekend. The owner was really nice. The town itself isn’t very attractive or especially well maintained, though. For breakfast, the only option is the Repsol gas station. The staff there were quite unfriendly, and the price changed from day to day, at Madrid prices.

It’s a shame pets aren’t allowed. I had to book somewhere else without knowing how it would turn out. My dog is 3, and his breed’s life expectancy is 15, so I have 12 years to wait before I can come back to that house. I still stand by what I wrote three years ago: the owners are wonderful, and the place is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.
