A lovely little beach if you're after somewhere fairly quiet with fewer children than the nearby beaches. In May ’23, two sunbeds and an umbrella cost €19.05 for the day, payable by cash or card. There's a small nearby bar selling takeaway drinks, but no public toilets. From the Riu Palace pool hotel gate, it's a three-to-five-minute walk.

I enjoyed this beach in autumn. It was less crowded than the sandy beach in the Maldives, and the ocean was easy to get into. Sunbeds cost €20 for the day. Restaurants, cafés and restrooms are close by.

A good spot for snorkeling: the water is lovely, with fish and rocks on the bottom. The black sand is beautiful, the sunbeds are comfortable, and it wasn't crowded.

Playa El Beril is a peaceful stretch of black sand, away from the busy beaches.

There’s enough room to swim a decent distance, about 500 metres from one end of the beach to the other. It’s quiet and feels safe for a longer swim, even when the sea is a bit choppy.
