Pueblo Torviscas

We’ve been coming here as a family for over 20 years, and it’s still our go-to in Costa Adeje. The rooms are spacious, even the studios, and the pools are lovely. The larger pool at the bottom, by the pool bar, is heated. There’s a system for booking sun loungers, so nobody has to fight over them. We have breakfast at the pool bar every morning, and the food is excellent. The complex is close to the beach and promenade, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The staff are lovely too. I really can’t fault the place and can’t wait to return.

The location is perfect, right by the beach and plenty of shops. The restaurants were good value and always open, and there’s a bar you can reach from the pool, so you can have a drink in the water. There are also two pool tables open until 10pm and a mini supermarket on site. The room was great, very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Bedding and towels were provided, though not shower gel or shampoo. Both pools are lovely but get busy in July. We hadn’t reserved sunbeds, but managed to find some in the afternoon as people left. Of course, you can use the pool without a sunbed. I’d definitely recommend this place.

It’s handy for bars and restaurants nearby, and a short walk down the slope takes you to the beach, restaurants and harbour. Head up the slope for more shops and supermarkets. The apartments are dated and dark, with a modernised bathroom as the only updated part. There are always cockroaches, mostly in the bathroom and kitchen cupboards. The pool is a nice size, but there aren’t enough sunbeds.

We enjoyed our stay and were pleased with the price for such a good location. The hotel is right by the beach, with lots of restaurants and shops close at hand. Staff were great, and the rooms were cleaned every other day, on days 3, 5, 7 and so on. The sunbed system is a little odd: you have to reserve with the pool attendant a day ahead, and lose your spot if you don’t use it. Still, it stops people reserving beds they never use. There were pool activities like water polo, water aerobics and the mat run, which are good for kids. I thought the pool could have been cleaner, though it may just have been because we went later in the day.
