The grounds are beautifully kept, full of lovely plants and details, and walking to breakfast felt a bit like being in Bali or Thailand. Breakfast had a great selection that changed day by day. The staff were attentive and friendly, and manager Fiona always welcomed us and asked how the stay was going, a lovely touch. We didn’t use the general pool, but it looked beautiful overlooking the golf course. The spa was beautifully decorated, with a rain shower and steam room, and my husband said his massage was one of the best he’d had. We chose the hotel for a quiet break away from the busier areas and really enjoyed staying in a Duchess Villa with a private pool. Check-in was easy, and after a short tour we were shown to our room. It was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a pool just the right size and depth. The full kitchen was handy for storing snacks and drinks for day trips. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the air conditioning kept us sleeping well. The main drawback was occasional traffic noise from the road facing the villa’s outdoor area. We didn’t notice it inside, and it didn’t disturb our sleep. We had a hire car, which we’d recommend for day trips or evening dinners, though we could easily walk to the nearest shops. Guest underground parking was easy to access after check-in. We’d definitely return and recommend it. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

The view was amazing, and the pool and comfort were just right. We could request anything easily through WhatsApp. We’ve been longing to return in the weeks since, even though we live on the island. Thank you for a perfect birthday, we’ll see you again! We spent three days at the hotel in mid-September to celebrate my husband’s 50th. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels and are pretty critical, so I didn’t expect to write a review despite reading all the positive ones. Daniel made our arrival special with his thoughtful attention, and we could charge our electric car easily. The next morning Mrs. Fiona welcomed us at breakfast and had a surprise for us. At first the rooms felt a little too decorated for my taste, but looking back, the style added to the experience and made us feel like royalty. The building’s age does show in places, with a few cracked terrace windows, chipped tiles and paint. That was a small visual downside, and the service more than made up for it.

The villa was a real wow when we walked in. The view was gorgeous, the private pool was heated and had a night light for evening swims, and both bedrooms had enormous, comfortable beds. We loved being able to Chromecast on the TVs for Netflix nights with room service. There were a few signs of wear, like missing pool tiles, but they didn’t take away from the stay. The service and food were a big part of what made this such a good break. We didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant because the menu wasn’t to our taste, but room service was outstanding, far better than expected, and the staff set the table beautifully. First night we had chicken nuggets, a fresh fruit salad and a huge cookie. On day two, our poolside brunch included ham with tomato salsa on bread, cheeses and crackers, Spanish tortilla, croquetas, fruit salad and orange juice, with sangria also available. Dinner that night was perfectly cooked calamari, a burger and brownie. Breakfast had everything from hot English-style dishes to continental cheese, ham and pastries, and staff were happy to help with other requests. A violinist played live in the restaurant on our first morning. She moved between tables, engaged with guests and even played “Happy Birthday” for someone, a really sweet moment. Every staff member we met was friendly, greeting us with a smile each morning. Roman at reception welcomed us and explained the handy WhatsApp system. William showed us to our upgraded Majestic Villa named Kentia and explained how everything worked. The restaurant team were cheerful and attentive, too. A few small things stopped this being a full five stars: both room service orders arrived late and needed follow-up, we spotted some ants, the minibar-filled fridge left no space for our own things, and there was occasional heavy traffic noise from the nearby road. The location can also be tricky without a car. None of this ruined our stay. We left refreshed after the relaxation, comfort and service we needed, and would absolutely recommend it and return.
