Hotel Puerto de las Nieves

I was able to dry my cycling clothes on the balcony of an empty room for a couple of hours, which was handy. The hotel is in a nice spot in Puerto de las Nieves. It’s a little old, but clean, everything worked, and the service was friendly. Breakfast was good too. One side is next to the road, so there’s some noise. Good value for money.

The location was quaint and suited a short visit, with the port and natural swimming pools close by. I’d booked well in advance, so it was good value, and the room was spacious. I couldn’t use the spa because I hadn’t booked ahead. The restaurant doesn’t serve meals, just a very basic breakfast, and the cafes and restaurants seemed to close early. It was cold at night, with no heater or blanket, so I’d bring pyjamas next time. I’d stay again.

Agaete is stunning, and the staff and location were lovely. I stayed one night on a cycling trip. The hotel feels dated and the rooms are old-fashioned, and the beds are very old too. They really need new mattresses.

We had a very good stay, and the staff were helpful. The hotel is just steps from ocean views, and every room has a balcony overlooking the ocean, the port town, or both. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM and was great. There’s parking downstairs, but the entrance is narrow, so don’t take a big vehicle in. Guests can also use the wellness area with three pools, a sauna for an extra fee, and a small gym.
