Camping Playa de Vargas

The staff were so kind and helped us out at 2 am. The camping itself is pretty ordinary, though it’s generally well kept, has plenty of showers, and a nice restaurant. It’s out in the middle of nowhere, but just a short drive from the airport. There’s a small stony beach nearby that isn’t great for swimming, and the nearest city is five minutes away by car. Bus stops are close too, so you can get around the island. Well, it’s cheap :)

It’s basically a parking lot, with no grass and no nature around. The planes are far too loud, and it’s the windiest area on the island. The restaurant is expensive, and when it rains, water comes inside. There were roaches everywhere. Definitely not somewhere I’d recommend to people.

We felt right at home and had a really good time. The place is beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, and Victor, our waiter, was super friendly. We’ll be back.

I came in a motorhome and needed to swap out fresh and waste water. I washed my clothes by hand, and there were places to hang them up to dry. I don’t remember seeing a washing machine. The staff around the campsite were friendly, and the place was clean and tidy. I liked it!
