Villa Puerta Rodona

I stayed here with my extended family in October 2022 and enjoyed our time, though there were some real problems alongside the good parts. The pool was lovely and roomy enough for everyone, and the kitchen had loads of plates, glasses, pots and pans for self-catering. We only needed to run the dishwasher once a day. I understand it was late in the season, but that doesn't explain most of the issues. The beds were the biggest problem. They were clean, but the mattresses were in such poor condition and uncomfortable that one grandchild was in tears, and all of us slept badly. There was no hot water when we arrived. The company fixed it quickly after we called, but it failed again within 24 hours, making for cold showers in October. Cleaning was lacking too: the ashtray still had old cigarette ends in it, and we found a discarded packet of facial wipes in our bedroom. The freezer was rusty and looked unhygienic. The glass in the shower enclosure was cracked and patched with some kind of tape. Although the villa was advertised for eight, the indoor table only seated six. A bigger outdoor table was available, but it was covered in bird droppings and took considerable effort to clean enough to use. I was there in 2022, when the place apparently had a different name.
