Hotel Castilla

For my three-night stay, the central location was the main plus. It was easy to walk around, find food, and see the city. The room was clean and comfortable, if a bit old-fashioned. Nothing fancy, but it had what I needed for a short visit, and overall I had a good experience.

I felt safe in this good area, and Supermercado Irene is a very good market nearby. The hotel is modern and clean, with some staff able to speak English. Breakfast is available at a reasonable price. It’s a nice walk down the avenue from the train station, just a few blocks. I enjoyed staying here and will come back when I return to Albacete.

There were ants on the floor, hair on the pillow, and the bed was so dirty. The bathroom was disgusting too. This is the worst hotel I’ve seen, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.

The hotel is close to the city center, and getting there is easy, but I wouldn’t return. The rooms are very dated, the lighting is harsh, and the beds aren’t especially comfortable. There was a strong, strange smell throughout, which seemed like a mix of sewer gas from leaking water locks, mold behind the gypsum ceiling plates, and decades-old smoke. One night was enough for me. The hotel parking has only a handful of spaces, and for some reason they couldn’t be reserved through booking. A nearby parking garage seems to be the usual alternative.
