Hotel Cortijo del Marqués

Silvia helped us plan our day trip to Alhambra and arranged a taxi, and Eilko, Silvia, and the rest of the team looked after us throughout our two nights. The food was amazing, and sitting outside with a nightcap after dinner was lovely. The pool area has a fantastic sunrise view, and even in October the water felt pleasantly warm. From the moment we arrived, the stay was unforgettable. Thanks to Eilko, Silvia, and the team. I hope we can come back.

We spent four nights here in early September, and the peaceful rural location among olive trees made for such a relaxing break. The owners greeted us warmly when we arrived, and the place was so beautiful I nearly teared up. We loved the dinner menus, and breakfast was superb too. The staff were attentive and always happy to go the extra mile. It was a wonderful five-star stay, and we'll be thinking about this place for a long time. Hopefully we'll return soon!

Coming back to the hotel each evening for dinner was a treat. The dishes were beautifully prepared, with a great variety of regional food, and Eilko's extensive wine cellar has plenty of interesting Spanish wines to try. We spent our days hiking and visiting villages and small towns, with the owners giving us detailed, helpful advice on where to go. The property sits among extensive olive groves, so it's incredibly peaceful, yet it's a great base for exploring Granada and the surrounding villages. Our spacious, comfortable room had a large private terrace overlooking the courtyard and farmland, with the snow-covered Sierra Nevada in the distance. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Of all the places we stayed in Andalusia, this was our favorite, and I'd highly recommend it.

We loved how peaceful it was here, while still being close enough for a day trip to Granada and the Alhambra. It was also the first stop on our honeymoon, and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place. The property is beautiful, our room was lovely and comfortable, and the owners and staff were all so friendly and personable. The food was incredible. We ate dinner there both nights, and the meals were light, fresh, and full of flavor, with a completely different menu each evening. We can't wait to come back!
