The place was cheap and close to the beach, with a pool that was closed for the off-season. Apartment 15 had a fireplace, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The terrace was lovely too. Still, I won’t be back. The cleanliness was poor, and we had to leave it clean, even though I think we left it cleaner than we found it. The water heater tripped the power when we switched it on. Someone had to come fix it, but not until the next morning. I’d have rather paid a little more for an apartment in better condition.

The apartment was clean and perfectly fine, despite the bad reviews. It’s in a very quiet area, about a minute from the pool and a ten-minute walk from the beach. I’d recommend it.

We only stayed because we couldn’t find anywhere else to go. The apartment being old wasn’t the issue, it was that even basic things didn’t work. Apartment 9 shouldn’t have been rented, and the company never offered even a basic apology. I’ve filed a complaint and plan to take legal action through consumer protection, with photos. I hope Booking.com and the consumer protection agencies take note, especially about hygiene. Right from the start, the fridge didn’t work, there were flies in the sink, and we couldn’t tell whether the place had been cleaned. The company usually uses a small plastic sanitizing sticker, as we’ve seen in other photos, but there was no way to prove anything. We could show them the flies, though. Water pressure was so poor that my daughter and wife had to use buckets to wash their long hair. We have videos. Two days later, we found the washing machine was broken too. We called about these problems and waited another two days for the fridge and washer to be replaced. We were already planning to complain and leave, so we told them. SHAMEFUL. They kept saying all week that we didn’t have keys for the pool’s keyed entrance. We’re still waiting. The toilet cistern also broke, but maintenance did repair it, good job to the maintenance staff. The person in charge at Alcossebre Suite seemed more embarrassed when we showed the photos and videos, and I absolve them of responsibility. We’re being charged €1200, and they should refund at least half. I’m sending the same message I posted on Booking.com because I don’t trust them to publish it.

The apartment was very neglected and dirty. There were damp insects in the bathroom, hardly any kitchen utensils, and the doors wouldn’t close properly. I definitely wouldn’t return or recommend it.
