ibis Madrid Alcorcon Tresaguas

My car was scratched and its wipers were stolen overnight in the hotel parking lot. The area is fenced, but I couldn't get in, and there is no CCTV in front of the hotel, making it very difficult to tell who did it. I told the staff about the damage, but they ignored the incident and didn't help us.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was average. The room, though, was old, dated, smelled odd, and didn't seem very clean. We were given a disabled-accessible room, which may explain why the toilet was basically in the shower, but we found that strange. There were only two outlets in the whole room, as far as we could tell, and neither was near either side of the bed. We were told we could park on the property, but the setup was odd: spaces ran around the building rather than forming a proper lot. They were very narrow and tight, especially for our SUV, and there were none left. We parked on the street, which didn't feel very safe while we were carrying all our belongings into the hotel, though I figured it would be okay. The area seemed like a sketchy industrial park, and I saw about five police cars speed past when we arrived. You get what you pay for. We wouldn't stay again.

The room was old, but overall it was an okay place to stay. If you're driving, it's a good option, and the nearby shopping center is handy if you need to pick something up in a pinch.

You'd need a particular reason to stay here. The price was the lowest of the nine ibis hotels in Madrid, and most of the guests seemed to be groups. But the hotel needs maintenance. In my room, the toilet seat cover was broken and had to be adjusted, the hair dryer itself was missing although its stand and switch were there, and the TV remote was so old that most of its buttons didn't work. The ibis sits at the edge of Alcorcon, between a huge highway and open fields. You can see the hotel clearly in the first picture. Step outside and the noise hits you. The nearest supermarket is 1.5 km away, near the first residential area.
