Las Cabañas de La Vera

The pool was just right and never crowded, and we had ten very peaceful, relaxing days. With wonderful places only a short drive away, it also worked really well as a base for excursions.

Ángel looked after us so kindly and shared some lovely hiking route ideas for the area. We’re really grateful for his care and for making our stay so comfortable. The cabin was cozy, warm in every room, and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable too, and the whole place was spotless and in great shape, with nothing scratched or worn. The houses and grounds are brand new and clearly well cared for. We spent a lovely few days here in a beautiful, quiet setting. Monfragüe National Park is about 50 minutes away, and there are plenty of charming villages nearby, along with the Monastery of Yuste. We’d definitely recommend it.

The location is a great one, between Aldeanueva and Jarandilla and only two minutes from two stunning gorges. The cabins are comfortable and solidly built, and the grounds and pool are kept in very good condition. We’d definitely come back.

The cabins are spacious and cozy, with thick stone walls that keep them cool on hot summer days. It’s a magnificent spot to switch off. The pool is spectacular, the water crystal clear, and the garden is beautifully kept. Lourdes and Ángel are attentive and ready to help with whatever you need. It’s a great base for exploring the La Vera region, and I’d happily return.
