Eurostars Pórtico Alicante

The rooftop bar is a great bonus, with good choices, great service, and very reasonable prices. The hotel is right in the city center, close to the beach, bars, and restaurants. Rooms are a good size and extremely clean. Reception staff were wonderful, especially Edu, Malika, and the tall gentleman whose name I couldn’t remember, sorry. They helped us around the city and were great with questions. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Alicante.

The location worked perfectly, and the hotel felt very well managed. I’ve stayed at most of the hotels in Alicante, and this was a great experience. The front desk team were so helpful, and I was delighted when they brought a birthday gift up to our suite. The hotel is only four years old, but the group has done a lovely job with the comfort and finish throughout. I’d happily recommend it, five stars.

The location is the hotel's big plus, and my room was okay, though the one under the roof was quite small. Breakfast was good, but the dining area wasn't large enough for everyone, so some guests had to wait for a table. I booked through my company's agency, which provided the hotel with the virtual card details for payment. The hotel wouldn't accept that method, which had never happened to me before, as hotels across Europe usually do.

Room 111 was bright and spacious, but the noise outside made it hard to rest. One window faced an Indian restaurant and the other a pharmacy, and their flashing neon signs lit the room from early evening. I had to keep the curtains shut, but light still came through. I also couldn't open the windows for air because street noise carried on well past midnight. Inside, I could hear every movement in the neighboring room. I finally fell asleep when she left, then woke again when she came back.
